I'm Never Going Back to Ismarus!

Well that was the worst sacking & looting expedition that I've ever been on!

Seriously guys, I do not recommend Thrace as a good place to try sacking.

Here's what happened: we dropped past Thrace, which was totally fine I thought, and stopped in Ismarus (in Thrace, obviously). It's a pretty nice place overall. So nice that we decided it would be a good opportunity to sack the place and get a bunch of nice stuff to bring home for our girls. I know Penelope would have appreciated some of the vases and everything that we got our hands on.

Anyway, I got a bit tired of the whole looting thing and tried to order everyone back to the ships, but they didn't listen to me at all!!! I was so angry with them.

I guess they learnt their lesson though, when the people of Ismarus called for help and we got attacked.

72 men dead. I wish them all a safe journey to the underworld and stuff.

As if that wasn't bad enough, as soon as we escaped the attackers in Ismarus we were confronted with another major problem: strong winds.

A huge storm blew us off course and we ended up in Libya of all places.

Actually Libya was kind of interesting because we met the Lotus-Eaters. As if the name doesn't make it obvious, the Lotus-Eaters are a race of people who eat the flowers and seeds of the lotus.

Now I always like meeting new people, but I'm not entirely sure you should trust every new person you meet, and this was certainly the case with the Lotus-Eaters. They offered to share their lotuses with my crew, but as soon as anyone ate any they went totally mad. Every man forgot who he was and thought of nothing except the plants and how they could get more and eat more.

I've just had to force them onto the ship, and we're still having some serious problems.

Luckily we're on our way again, and it doesn't seem like it will be too long before we get home.
